Kawasaki has launched the 2022 Ninja 300 at rs 3.37 lakhs (ex-showroom) in the country. The bike comes with several cosmetic enhancements and new color options. Furthermore, the new motorcycle rival the likes of the TVS Apache RR 310, KTM RC390, Honda CB300R, and BMW G310R.
Cosmetically, the 2022 Ninja 300 more or less remains the same as the outgoing model. Furthermore, it borrows most of the styling cues from its larger capacity siblings like Ninja 600, Ninja 1000SX, and Ninja ZX10R. The feature highlights include aggressive dual-headlamps, a sculpted fuel tank, a floating-style windscreen, an unswept exhaust, a step-up seat, and front cowl-mounted compact rear-view mirrors.
Performance-wise, the Kawasaki 2022 Ninja 300 gets the same 296cc, liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine as before. The motor churns out 38 bhp power at 11000rpm and 26.1 Nm peak torque at 10,000rpm while being mated to a 6-speed gearbox via the slipper clutch. Suspension duties are taken care of by a conventional telescopic fork upfront and a mono-shock setup towards the rear. In terms of the brake, the bike gets a 290mm petal-type disc at the front and a 220mm petal-type disc towards the rear coupled with dual-piston calipers & dual-channel ABS.
The outgoing model came with a ground clearance of 140mm. This is good for highways but can be a bit problematic in the city especially while dealing with potholes and speed breakers. The 2022 Ninja 300 continues to be offered in Lime Green, Ebony, and Candy Lime Green color options. The Lime Green color remains unchanged. However, the Ebony and Candy Lime Green features brand-new liveries.
